Host-mode: activated. Walnut bar cabinet from S$899, fits a 4-room HDB.

1. How many bottles fit in a 90cm bar cabinet?

Depends on the layout, but here's the honest answer after we measured over 12 units:

Standard 90cm bar cabinet: Fits 6–8 bottles horizontally on the rack, plus another 2–3 standing on the shelf if you rearrange. Some models have a dedicated wine crate that holds 6 in a standard lay — that's basically enough for a weekend with friends.

If you're buying for a 4-room HDB: We recommend the Highline Wine Rack (7-bottle capacity, 90cm wide) — it's the sweet spot between storage and slimness. Your neighbours won't complain about it blocking the corridor sia.

Pro tip: Measure your lift and staircase before you order. A 90cm cabinet might not fit through older HDB lift doors that are only 88cm wide. Our team delivers with a free pre-delivery measurement check. Just send us your flat photo.

2. Will a bar cabinet fit in my HDB living room? Won't it look bulky?

Totally valid concern — HDB living rooms ain't big. Here's what works:

• Depth matters most. A slim 30–35cm deep cabinet against your TV wall looks intentional, not cramped. Anything over 40cm deep starts eating into your walking space.
• Colour choice is key. Light oak or walnut blends with almost any HDB interior. Avoid black or dark stains unless your walls are already warm-toned — otherwise it'll look like a spaceship landed in your living room.
• Visual weight. Leggy designs (like our Mid-century Bar Cart at S$549) feel lighter because you can see the floor beneath. This tricks the brain into thinking the room is bigger.

3. Solid wood vs engineered wood — which one should I choose?
